Patti Marshall, JD

Patti Marshall retired from the MS Attorney General's Office in 2017, as an Assistant Attorney General and the Bureau Chief of the Bureau of Victim Assistance, which encompassed the Children's Division, Victim Compensation, Victim Services, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking, and Human Trafficking. From August 2018 until June 2020, she was on a part time contract as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Children's Division.

Over her thirty-plus year tenure with the State, Patti has been appointed to numerous boards, commissions, and task forces by the Attorney General, the Governor, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and others. These include the Mississippi Commission on the Status of Women, the State Drug Court Advisory Committee, the MS Commission on Children's Justice, the Parent Representation Task Force, the CASA Board of MS, and one of the founding members of the MS Children's Justice Center (now the Children's Safe Center), among many others.

Patti has been recognised throughout her career with many awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the MS Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee, the Amicus Award from the MS School of Law, the 2012 Children's Star Award from Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth, and the 2015 Bud Cramer Award from the National Children's Alliance for outstanding commitment to the Children's Advocacy Center industry.
