The Children’s Foundation of Mississippi brings together families, community leaders, educators, healthcare professionals, policymakers, businesses, and advocates to strengthen the systems and policies that shape the well-being of children across our state.
At our 6th Annual Summit, Routes to Results, we’ll come together to chart a path forward toward stronger families, healthier communities, greater opportunities, and brighter futures for Mississippi’s children.

Meet Our Keynote Speaker:
Dr. Tommie Mabry
We are excited to have Dr. Tommie Mabry as the keynote speaker for the 6th Annual Summit, Routes to Results, on April 8, 2027.
Dr. Mabry is a nationally recognized educator, international speaker, and best-selling author whose personal journey is a powerful testament to resilience, the transformative power of education, and the importance of believing in every child’s potential. A Jackson, Mississippi, native, he overcame significant challenges in his youth to earn degrees from Tougaloo College and Jackson State University, ultimately returning to the same school district where he once struggled to serve as an educator.
Today, Dr. Mabry uses his experiences to inspire students, educators, and community leaders to see beyond a child’s circumstances and recognize the possibilities within them. His work reinforces an important message: a child’s future should not be defined by their past or the challenges they face.
As we explore Routes to Results, Dr. Mabry’s story reminds us why our work matters. Every child deserves the support, opportunities, and community connections needed to reach their full potential. Together, we can help create a brighter future for Mississippi’s children.
