2025 State of the State County Level Fact Sheets

Explore 2025 county-level data on children and youth across Mississippi through our State of the State fact sheets. Each fact sheet highlights key indicators across Education, Health, Economics, and Families & Communities, helping users compare local conditions with Mississippi overall and better understand the strengths and needs shaping children and families in their community.

The fact sheets can be used as a starting point for community conversations, strategic planning, grant applications, funding decisions, advocacy, program development, and partnership-building. Local leaders and organizations can use them to identify areas of strength, spot gaps or emerging needs, support funding requests with local data, and help connect community knowledge with measurable trends.

Interested in learning more about the data in your area? The Children’s Foundation of Mississippi also offers Mississippi KIDS COUNT Data Road Shows, which bring state and county-level data directly into communities and create space to explore what the numbers mean locally. If your organization or community is interested in hosting a Data Road Show, please contact Jessica Senter at jessica@childrensfoundationms.org.

The Children’s Foundation of Mississippi is grateful to the Mississippi State Legislature and the Mississippi Department of Education for making this project possible.
